Z-51 Rotors
Hi all,
Are Z-51 (C-6) rotors drilled and slotted, or just drilled? Got a new set from GM and no slots....perhaps I was mistaken that they are both...
Thanks,
NL

For model year 2005, GM just referred to them as "cross-drilled brake rotors."

Thanks, just wondering, is there any rust that remains after water (from washing the car, or rain...) gets on the surfaces, AND you drive the car and use the brakes.....do the holes get rusty and stay rusty even after use?
What has your experience been?
Thanks,
NL

Thanks, they have some sort of rust coating on them (are Z-51 replacements from GM). Will the plating process remove that or do I need to do something myself before I send them to the platers....they are new, never used...
Thanks,
NL

The plating company will usually bead blast them to remove any paint or coating before plating.
