Default Corsa for Paddle shift

I have been looking at the Corsa sport system for my 06, according to Corsa's website the 14169 is for 6 speed only,14167 for AT which includes the middle pipe with what appears to be resonators. So if one was to install the 169 on a AT, will it resonate? Or does it even fit? Jerry

It'll fit...and it'll drone.

They are the exact same catback system, except the one for the A6 has the H-pipe with the resonators. I was one of the first to get the A-6 system, and had to remove the resonators because Corsa manufactured them too close together and they vibrated together when they heated up and expanded. I ran the system without the resonators for 2 weeks waiting on the new h-pipe to arrive. There was definitely some drone-wasn't bad-but it was there. The resonators completely removed it.

Jerry -

I had a 2006 C6 coupe with the Corsa Sports #14169.

I traded it for a 2007 C6 A6 and swapped the Corsa Sports on to it.

THEY SOUND GREAT and NO DRONE at all.

In fact, my 2005 C6 A4 has a Magnaflow #15884 catback, I let my father drive that one 90% of the time.
His name is Jerry also

After he heard the Corsa Sports #14169 on my C6 A6 he wants them for his.

In fact I am trading my Magnaflows for a Forum members Corsa Sports this week.

I called Corsa and spoke to Paul in tech.
The 14169s are fine for the A6, he said maybe a little more low frequency resonance than the auto version, but I have not experienced any.

I have the corsa sport for the M6 on my A6. I have LG headers and xpipe so the h pipe version would not work for me. Very little drone but some at 1600 rpms the sound is fantastic.

Gary, I know you were looking to get rid of that small amount of drone by adding resonators, but decided not to. You might want to reconsider. After I took off the Zoomers, I left on their resonated x-pipe. I'm not sure if it's the 2 1/2" pipes, or the resonators, or both, but the drone is now gone. You can still hear them inside the car, but it's much better than the LG x-pipe. Just FYI.

I am still considering it. Just some 3 inch resonators in my LG xpipe. One other member on here did that and said it made no difference. But who knows, it should work I would think.

I only notice it if I am cruising on the freeway and occasionally as I go through the gears at a slow to moderate acceleration rate.

I love how they sound at WOT going down the strip. That is pure heaven of a sound.

I had a set of Corsa Sports on my '07 and took them OFF!!

The size of the muffler cans are ridiculous! (IMO) Very visable from behind...as a matter of fact, unless you really look at this set up closely, all you really see is the mufflers...tips are sort of lost...I replaced them with B&B RT.66 and the oem H-pipe...minimal drone if any at about 1500 rpm, then its gone...B&B has a very nice appearance with larger 4" tips, no name scrolled across them, they stay lined up and the best part...$450 less money...

Take a look...

I see your point but I really don't think they look bad. I agree a smaller muffler looks better, but I still like my Corsa's. They are expensive though, but they have a unique sound that none of the others have. I like that sound, it grows on you.

No doubt the Corsa cans are not the most attractive things, but from behind you don't really see them unless you take a low angle pic like that.

Examples on my 2007:

Sorry about the sun glare:

Here is a very low angle though on my 2006:

You are right in saying... "you don't really see them"...

I found that if I stood in the front of my car..

"I couldn't really see them"....from any position behind the car....UGLY!!

Did have a nice sound though, got give it that...but so do the B&B's...without the...UGLY!!

(IMO)......

You're so eloquent, but I totally agree. I removed the Corsa's and replaced them with Magnaflow's. I love the looks of the 4" tips and I prefer their deep throaty muscle car sound. To each his own.....
