Default remove clear coat

i want to remove the clear coat from my polished wheels so i can put a high polish on them any one know of a good clear coat remover.

try some aircraft remover, or peeler from O'Reilly's. obvously don't get this close to any thing with paint on it that you value you could also have them sand blasted of course that would require a little more polishing after the fact. either way it's gonna be a lot of work.

That stuff isn't on there like some of my other wheels. Some good aircraft type stripper took it right off.

after you took clear off did you reclear i think they look much better with out i striped one last night and started to polish and has much more shine

Kinda depends on how much work you're willing to do to keep them nice.

Once you have the clear coat off polish with Bush polish then coat with Rejex and you won't have any problems with keeping them looking great.That is how John from CCW told me to take care of my 505s,and it works.

the rims that iam polishing are the one i bought not the ones for sale way to much work to do and then sell

i will post pic when im done using a metal compond and a cloth polshing wheel it is a lot of work but they are looking super so far

Has anyone stripped painted oem wheels and then polished??If so what and how.Does anyone know if the oem wheel paint (silver)(comp grey available??
