Default Drone??

I currently have the borla stingers on my mn6 coupe with long tubes, cats, cam, and tune and it is just loud all the time. I am thinking of the borla touring. Can anyone tell me if these will quiet the car down any? Thanks.

Corsa Sports or Stock are your only choices for NO drone.

I had Corsa Sports and AR LT Headers on my 2006 and it sounded GREAT!

Stay with the stingers, corsa sounds like garbage.

Have you thought of the 3" Borla Z06 Catback, that's the way I'd go if I ever decided to get rid of my stingers.

Just have to fab up a piece of pipe where it reduces to 2.5.

I listened to the sound clip of this exhaust on another thread and loved the way it sounded. I think I am going to look into this. Thanks for your response.

I have the GM Performance Exhaust which is the same as the Borla Touring. They are only slightly louder than stock but have a deeper sound at idle and when accelerating. There is absolutely no drone or resonanace. They will quiet your system down without choking it.

Thanks. That is what I am hoping for. I really do like the Stingers but my car has just gotten so loud all the time, I can't handle it anymore. I will find out next week if the touring setup does better.

I had LG LTs and Borla Touring on an '06 A6. Drone City. Tried Corsas next, Much less drone -ok in town, but still gave me a headache on a long trip. I went back to stock.

Do all long tube headers do this or is it worse with lg's?

Long tubes and magnaflows catback, no drone at crusing speeds. Some drone if you're in 6th gear under 65mph and try to accelerate. In town going through the gears just a good sound. For some they say it's not loud enough. To them I say loud for the sake of loud is just that , NOISE. Loud doesn't mean fast and powerful, it just says you haven't left high school yet, but in time you will. Hour after hour of crusing with this bomb going off in your head, makes some of you realise just what you turned your Fifty thousand dollar plus car into. Loud doesn't transend into HP either. I make 461rwhp and and I can listen to my CD's and have a conversation in my car no problem. Just my opinion.

I have had our Pro's and Borla Z06 Touring cat back (full 3" all the way out) on my car for some time now. It has a very deep tone at idle, a very throaty exhaust note under acceleration, and it is almost slient at highway speeds. Now there are some occasions that there is a little drone inside the car, say if you go WOT at 1100 rpm in 6th gear on the highway, which should be rare and it goes away once you are past that. It is one of the best sounding exhaust setups I have heard on a new Corvette, and gives it that American V8 Rumble.
