Hurst Shifter rattle fix

A little while back, before c6 shifter's hit the market, I purchased and installed the c5 version into my c6.
It works great and I love it, but yes, there was that dreaded rattle when I would get on it.
I think I may have discovered a fix for the rattle.
"Lubrimatic White Lithium Grease", I believe I bought the tube at either Home Depot or Lowes but basically any shop with tractor supplies should be able to get it.
the Hurst Shifter allows one to 'adjust' the shifter stiffness by using replaceable springs that drop down into slots on either side of the shifter. below the springs are small little washer type of spacers then shifter arms. the spring/washer/shifter arm area is where I believe the rattle comes from, assuming all other bolts, etc. are properly torqued.
I used the white grease in the slots and whah-lah no more rattle, basically, with the springs intalled, I filled the spring slots and the shifter hole with grease, made some shifts, moved it around a bit, checked it and refilled as needed, being careful not to overfill but using enough to get it nice and greased.

I have a 2013 Grand Sport with 27,xxx miles. I've been daily driving it for over a year now. Around May 2023 it started making the noise you hear in the video above. It was subtle at first but now it pretty much does it through all gears. It doesn't seem to matter if I have the clutch pressed all the way in or just cruising, it does it in all gears. In person it's not as loud as it is in the video.
I've already tried an MGW shifter but there was no change. I bought a replacement OEM shifter and boots but still no change.
I have already taken it to a transmission shop, they test drove it and said the transmission shift perfectly and they don't think it's a transmission issue. They didn't charge to test drive but they said it would cost a lot to take everything apart down there to get a look.
