I regret not coating my LG's. It is difficult to see them, but they have turned black and I sort of like that shiny jet hot coat finish. I was in a hurry to get the work done. Maybe some winter I will take them off and send them in, can you coat a used header?
I think the wrap would be a pain in the a$$. But on some vehicles like cruiser motorcycles it does look cool. But on the C6 they would be hard to keep clean.
In my opinion, if your headers are stainless steel, there is no need for header wrap or for the Jet Hot coating, unless you prefer the nice shiny finish of the coating. If your headers are mild steel, then the Jet Hot coating will not only look good, but keep your underhood temps down.
Header wrap is not practical for street cars, and as was mentioned earlier, will void the warranty on many brands.
