blackbird, would you mind posting a timeslip for your best run...I'm wanting to compare to my runs earlier in the month to see where I can improve...thanks
yes while u have a stalled automatic u and sticky tires u should be able to run 1.5 60fts.
While me on the other hand im a MN6 with hard runflats. Im sure if i had a stalled auto it would be a different story.
Yes I did have a stall with sticky tires. I was just indicating what potential you have with that 115 mph. An automatic with a stall when set up properly will nearly always beat a standard.

No question. Heck my car will run 119 in the quarter but not that quickly. Manuals run faster but autos run quicker and more consistently. But that is some seriously good time for a 98 Camaro period considering the cam you have in there and no heads. 10.77 @ 122? Were you spraying?
It is hard for us manual guys to get a 1.5. I can't seem to do it. One of my friends can. Maybe it takes a 6k launch, I don't have the stones to do that to my daily driver! 12.2 on runflats is quite good, I'm telling you.
Blackbird you coming up to the Corvette Challenge?

With a very low first gear, traction and launching around 6000 rpm like you suggest, a manual will come close to what an automatic can do but I rarely ever see a manual driver that has the combination that can launch as good as an automatic.
I did have mildly ported heads too. I ported them myself. No nitrous! I had the car down to about 2900 pounds to make that 10.77 pass. I did drive it to the track though on ET Streets. 1.44 60'.
By the way, faster doesn't mean much. It's who turns the win light on first that counts. LOL!

I pulled a 1.51 60ft in a manual '02 Z06, with about 400rwhp and 3.90 gears....and I trapped 122. However, it "only" et'd 11.28, so 10.77 with all other factors the same as that camaro is eye popping. Similar trap, similar 60ft.... 5 tenths difference in 1/4 et

I can't explain that one unless you were shifting a little slow. Remember, mine was an automatic and I did pull a 1.44 60'.

Yeah isn't that something? Identical 60foot times and trap speed of 122..

I am not doubting your time just wondering how you accomplished it. FM member had identical times as yours, except he was off by 1/2 second at the end.. I guess your torque converter converts more torque in mid range..10.77 at 122 great Et, and your 1.44 60ft sure helped.

Hopefully you can read it now. My scanner is a little tired I suppose. On another pass my 330' was a 4.334. Don't know why it didn't print on this one. The ET on that pass was a 10.803 @ 122.38 mph.

That was in my 98 Camaro, not my new Corvette. It has a 3600 PI torque converter to get that time. Don't know what my Corvette will do yet. Hopeing for a 12 though.
