were they touching the headers or did the heat from the headers ignite the extensions?

The heat actually burnt through the zip ties that were holding them back, then they just dropped right on top of the cats and stuck. Crazy thing is that the day before my original post on this thread, I found a zip tie in my driveway but didn't give it another thought.I used thicker ones until I can get some to bound them up. My tuner said he'd cover the replacements for the couplers, so

to him. crazy freak of nature event this was...glad it didn't go all the way to the wires in the coupler...another few minutes of contact and the SES would be illuminated. Had that happened, I'd have towed it for sure.
