Default Changing TB and intake???

I see a lot of post on getting TB and intake ported. I have done everything on carbed engines. Is there anything I should know before I tackle doing this change out?? I am not talking about doing the porting just the swap out. How hard etc,?? Thanks Paul

i actually did this last night... not hard it took me an hour with a friend but ive rebuilt an ls1 out of a trans am before so it wasnt that hard.
From what ive heard this is the way to go if you dont want your dealership to question you if you had a FAST intake.. by porting the stock ones they make about half as much HP as the FAST's do.
here is the link to the website, click on install then ls2 intake manifold and there you go there is your write up on how to do it.

I had my car done by ls2portworks.com too, Cory helped (basically did
it) and took pictures along the way.

He should have some great pics of the intake and TB going onto
my car.

Its not hard, and unlike the porting, I would actually attempt the
install at home.

I suck with tools and it was cake.. Just have to make sure you remember to reconnect anything.. that big vacumm hose under the tb tends to be forgotten easily. Porting the TB yourself is easy.

Default It was gravy

With Corys step by step on the install on his site it took me about 45 minutes. Thats TB and Intake Manifold .The best part about the whole thing was being able to wrench on my own car again. Swapping engine parts out on my new age hotrod felt great! Not to mention how nice it runs now. its so easy a caveman can do it

We probably should avoid the use of the term "caveman"... you know how much trouble Geico got into with that one

Glad it was easy for you! Your times are better than mine and I've done about 6 of them in my garage now. But I'm always talking and cleaning.
