Get them! I loved them. PLus tthey are coated. I have them with x pipe and Random tech high flow cats with Magnaflows Axle-back mufflers. Perfect combo. Not obnoxois loud and not soft. Nice hum at idle and highway speed, but when you punch it it get loud enough to let others know you got something. And if you do head and cam with it like I did, oh boy, it's even better. I absolutely love it. If you can hear my car in person, you will be sold. Got many compliments with it.
They are great quality, perfect fit and coated so wont decay, change color, heat goes away fast and did I say they were great. I got them on over a year ago and no issues. I have coated headers in another car for well over 10 years now and still look great. I just like the smooth design and high quality and was one of the first and biggest supporters of them. You will not be disappointed and the customer service is A1.

Wingrider;
read my post from yesterday entitled "Headers Installed (link to photos)" right below your post. I installed Melrose, love them and the pics show what they look like from under the car.
The Melrose headers are of excellent quality and fit. Stainless steel headers has no real advantage to a coated mild steel header. Just because they are resistant to corrosion SS has other qualities that actually can make them undesirable as headers. For one the 304 alloy will work hardened in time due to the constant heat and cooling cycles, this make the metal brittle. How many busted AIR tubes have you guys heard about these days in the C5 line up? Welds at the collector areas will also crack due to this same phenomenon. While 304 is a better alloy as far as corrosion resistance goes, a cheaper and uglier 409 alloy is much better suited for exhaust use and is much less prone to embrittlement. For that matter if you want pretty you can coat the 304 headers as well.
Melrose Headers, no cats, Bullets, Halltech, and a tune netted my '06 coupe a 45/35 gain.
They are a great design and the smooth flow primaries work very well. I was concerned at first with the no-flange design at the collector, but have had no problems and zero leaks for the system as a whole. You will not be disapointed with the purchase.
......I put the Mels on my car. The coated finish is the way to go. You don't see street rods with raw headers hanging on their showpiece motors. The less expensive stainless look like crap and perform well, will not hold the heat from radiating to other underhood and chassie components. In my case, the sateen finish of coated pipes was a selling point.
