Default X-Pipe

I have a Corsa Sport and experience the deceleration popping. Will adding the X-Pipe eliminate this? I have heard some say it cleans or tightens up the sound of the exhaust. Anybody have experience going from H pipe to X? Also any other positives with X-Pipe addition?

They claim it does and I have one and have no issues so maybe?

If you are going to get headers, don't get a Corsa X-pipe. You will need an X-pipe to fit the headers. All headers have the cats in the X-pipe, except off road applications.

The X-pipe on my Magnaflow gives a nice popping/burble upon deceleration. I like it.

Thanks for choosing CORSA Performance for your new C6 Corvette!

The burble and popping that you hear is normal…the factory H-pipe in the car does an OK job of balancing the engine, but our X-pipe does an even better job. Adding the X-pipe will smooth out the sound at idle, and decrease the popping sounds, but will not take all of it away. This tone is normal to any internal combustion engine…

I recently took delivery of my 2007 Corvette Convertible w/MN6 and had the Corsa sport exhaust installed. I noticed a little "exhaust burble" on idle and a little "popping" on declaration. Not a problem at this time - long term will it become annoying? What about adding the x-pipe? How much of this "problem" does the x-pipe remove and how does it affect the overall sound of the exhaust? Comments Please - Thanks

I've got the Corsa Sports with Corsa X-Pipe on my '05/Z51/MN6.....installed the X-Pipe on advice of one of the Techs at Corsa & it definitely softens the decel 'pop'. Been in place for over a year & I've been very please with the sound.

I have an 06 M6 with a Corsa sport and X-pipe. I totally agree with what's been said. Popping is inherent to the engine. Definitely much more tolerable with the X-pipe than the factory H-pipe.
