403 is a 4" crank and a set of rods. I pretty sure you need to re-sleave an LS2 to go bigger. 408s are usually the iron blocks punched out with the crank and rods. So, if you are going to go through the trouble of sleaving it, go 427.

New pistons too. You cant reuse the old ones with the new rods. RJ are we hanging out this weekend? Things are tight for me but I can be down there for a late hangout by 7 or 8. I can tolerate you for 5 hours or so.

How much does a 402 cost? Is it cheaper to mod my engine, or just buy an assembled 402 bottom end? This would be for non-FI.

If you choose to re-sleeve then I would go 427 all the way. Nothing like 9 second power NA.
