Default Melrose Headers?

Hello, you guys with the Melrose Headers I'm on my last call for purchasing headers. I just want to know if any of you have and numbers/results on the Melrose. It's just for curiosity. I have a deal, which includes installation for what they call good quality headers. For me I narrowed the headers down to ARH and this Melrose. Any replies would be gladly appreciated. Thanks

I got about 20 rwhp and 20 rwtq. Fit was perfect and have had zero codes or other problems.

Did mine a while back A4 car and gained 30. Great fit finish and all that and no regrets nor issues. Been a year now and with the overall mods doing that with full exh was by far the best. Makes the engine area look great too.

Well, I have heard the majority of the pros and cons on the Melrose headers. And it seems like everyone that has the Melrose are very happy with the results/outcome. There were a few debates about the finish. But it doesn't matter, I'm not going to keep this car forever. The pipe won't last as long as the car anyway. So the Melrose is my choice. Thanks guys.

I was throwing codes w/ mine...had telecon w/ the factory and Random Tech and Melrose sent a newer wiring harness which cured the problem. Very satisfied w/ the product and cust. service!

I can tell you this on Melrose / Ceramic Coated Headers, I have Hooker on my 67GT Mustang that are coated and have been there well over 10 years and still look good. A quick polish with mothers wheel polish when they are older shines them right up. That is good for me and the Melrose were even better quality.

what codes are you getting? your local parts store can pull the codes if you don't have a code reader handly.

.......I like my Mels but I am sure the car will be in the junkyard before the pipes fall off. Has anyone out there repaced an exhaust system on a late model Vette due to corroded pipes or muffs?

I had the Melrose headers installed last week. Me personally, I don't understand the debate about the finish, Jet Coated or Stainless Steel. It doesn't matter to me, comparing apples and oranges again. Have you done a tune yet? My plan was to get the ported intake and then a tune but after checking the 1/4 list the guys without the ported intake did just as well as the guys with the ported intake. Maybe I will do the ported intake with the H/C cam package.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be installing Melrose's on my C6 MN6 in the near future. Any suggestions where to purchase?

If you could find a local vendor it would probably be cheaper. Buying directly from Melrose may cost a little more. I paid $1550 total including 02 sensors.
