I appproached my car to morning to open up the door and it wouldn't open. Also there is no light flashing. What happened? I have an 05, maybe I didn't place it in reverse like you suppose to do.

If it WAS in reverse you might have had an episode of 'DBS', dead battery syndrome, which will drain your battery despite a proper shutdown. Have your battery and charging system checked, and have your dealer download you the BCM reflash software to prevent 'DBS'.

I read on the forum that GM no longer performs the reflash. I had my done prior to reading that and all is well.
Check with your dealer to see if they'll do the BCM flash. I have an '06 A6 that would fail to start after 3 days. The BCM was replaced due to other electrical gremlins and now the car will start after sitting almost a week (that's the longest I can stand to let her sit). But if you left the car out of reverse, then you had a "normal" failure, not DBS.

You read correctly, but the "reflash" - software update - had nothing to do with the update related to DBS (PIC4166A/B). It was for another reason and only suspended for a couple of days. GM had to reissue the instructions to dealers - nothing to do with the software.
