I have a 2006 C6 with 5325 miles. Now, when I push the button to start the engine, many times it hangs as if the solenoid is not engaging. It just keeps trying. I took it to All American Chevrolet in Odessa, Tx and they told me they just do this sometimes and to just wait 5 seconds and it will auto start, but it does not do that. It finally just quits and you have to start again. When it does it I can push left side bottom of the button and stop the action and try again and it will or will not do it. If it doesn't it will start normally. It really feels just like the way a bad starter or solenoid felt on a C5 trying to key start. Has anyone had this problem or know anything about it? I really do not think this is the way Corvette division meant this to work. pv1
Yep. Drive on over to Midland, and see what their Chevy dealer sez.
What a load of bs...Not only does GM NOT expect Corvettes to behave like that; cars in general haven't done that routine since the early fifties. You're better off they didn't dig into your dashboard, because it's clear they haven't any clue what causing the problem.
