Turbo Or Supercharge
Turbo is better
Yes it will hurt resale, it will also dwindle down the number of potential buyers since some wnat a car closer to stock or stock.
Superchargers use belts (that often break and/or slip) and rob a small amount of HP to make the extra HP, but they build boost slightly quicker.
Turbos work off of the cars exhaust and is considered free HP, turbos will also typically run much more boost, yielding higher HP. Of course these motors were not built for boost so you must keep it at a minimum, like 5-8 pounds. If you build the motor correctly, you can run upwards of 25-30 pounds. Most guys simply slap on superchargers and run low boost and gain about 100HP. But if you rebuild the motor with a lower compression and stronger bottom end, you can easily get 300-400 more HP.
Keep in mind most guys will only post positives of FI. You read very few posts about blown motors, but there are quite a few. For instance, if you foul a plug under boost, that could be the end of you motor.
Neither super or turbocharging are efficient with a mn6, you lose boost when you shift, then have to build it back up. Sure, it happens quickly, but with an auto, the boost never drops.
Most guys will disagree with my synopsis, but, oh well...I have a little V6 turbo with a stock bottom end, I'll take on any supercharged Vette with a stock bottom end
I'd suggest a 'built' engine. It's certainly more expensive but IMO a strong forged-component, naturally-aspirated engine is unquestionably the best way to go. It also provides better platform for adding a SC or TT in the future (if you can figure out how to hookup with either TT or a SC on top of your built motor).

If you're concerned about warranty repairs or resale value....don't modify your car. If, however, you're more concerned with performance and driving enjoyment....definitely mod you car. Good luck whichever way you decide to go....you'll love the difference.
Turboing a torque monster like the the vette should give the best of both worlds the torque then the upper rpm hp. since the engine was not designed for FI there are risks of detonation and destruction and the ultimate longevity of the engine is bound to be shorter.
I personally would not buy a used modified FI car especially one that was not designed to be FI in the first place. I think that if I were to modify my car I would go with the APS turbo system from the looks of it is a high quality piece that yields gobs of Hp and drive ability is like stock until you hit the gas.
A friend had a LPE modified older vette and had the hardest time reselling it as mentioned your market narrows and a most people prefer to have their own modifications done rather then buy someone else's. You never get the cost of the modifications back either so it is not an economic proposition unless you don't car or plan on keeping the car for a long time
