Wahooooooooooooo That's the first time I've seen the boat.
I have also used most of my performance cars to tow a med size trailer I have, I even raced rice with my 89 Turbo Trans Am that ran 12.20's with my 4x9 foot black flatbed trailer with a Suzuki DR350 dual sport loaded on it. Smoked him pretty easy too. The trailer is custom made with a small drop axle and a GM 5x4/34 inch bolt pattern spindles on it.I normally run an extra pair of wheels on the trailer that match whatever car I have at the time. It looks awesome and pulls like a dream.
One issue with towing would be tongue weight. The C6, being a two passenger car with not much trunk space is not designed to hold a lot of weight in the rear (unlike most other vehicles designed to take anywhere from 2 to 6 passengers and a large trunk load of stuff). The rear suspension of the C6 will have less acceptable range / travel than other vehicles. As well, the C6 is already too low to the ground, any extra weight pushing it down would only be a very bad thing. So, I'd think that if someone were to hook up a trailer with decent tongue weight, it would be a problem. However, a small light trailer with very little tongue weight would perhaps not be a problem.
Yes, the C6 has a steel frame... but it is a fairly light steel frame. It is not designed for towing. Remember, Dave Hill and the crew designed this car to be as LIGHT as possible for racing... so that design goal does not go hand in hand with towing. Even at the max tongue weight for a Class I hitch, you'd be ok with just a driver.
If a trailer is absolutely necessary, I like the suggestion to use a motorcycle type trailer... I think that would be ok. After all, the C6 is pretty much a 4-wheeled motorcycle anyway.
The hitches sold for the C6 are Class I, max tongue weight of 200 lbs, max towed weight of 2000 lbs. The cargo capacity of the C6 is around 435 lbs, depending on your options (see door jamb tire sticker), including passengers. For a light weight trailer to tow tires or a bike, a tongue weight of 50-100 lbs would be common, so unless both of the passengers are weighty, there should be plenty of cargo capacity to handle the tongue weight.

Even my ex mother-in-law in a stock trailer ........................................ .
And I see NOTHING wrong with towing a trailer with a Vette. How else are you going to get your race tires to the track!
this is exactly what i need to carry DR to the track...plus floor jacks, jackstands, etc...
can you take a picture of the hitch from below and behind the car? I want to check clearance with my exhaust

yes I would like to see better pictures from behind. Is it removable?

I will get some pics and post up. There is a lot of room for exhaust because the factory mufflers are so big. I've got Magnaflow 14336's which are smaller and there is plenty of room.
You could remove it, it's 4 nuts, but you'd want to put the nuts back on the studs or else they will fall back into the frame and get lost. I think they would be hard to fish back out of the frame so putting the nuts back on would be easier.
You really don't notice it unless you are looking for it. The car is so low that you have to really bend over to see it. Since it is black it blends right in.

I have the 14336 also...so it sound like it would work...
Mind your own business. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a wife willing to provide chase vehicle services and cart their tires up to the track for them!

Here's a pic of my behind for you. Note how the FL "save the whales" (are there any whales in FL???) tag matches the C6 emblem so closely!
