I didn't have any codes, but I went ahead and had the tune anyway. It well worth it, because you really want the engine optimized to work with the headers. If you don't you will most likely be leaving quite a few ponies in the barn!

I will be getting a tune in a couple months. There arn't many places around here that can dyno tune
Melrose LTs with high flow cats. Code showed up after about 2 months...I delete and it comes back within a few days. I plan on getting tune before the end of the year so i am holding out until then.
Kooks lts w/high flow cats, codes 420 and 430 set every two to three days after clearing. Tune will take care of it in April, motor runs just fine with em set.
I had LG long tubes and Halltech and it threw a CEL intermittently. I dyno'd it (baseline for F/I install) and it was running fairly rich which was causing it to lose some HP.
Get a tune with LT headers to adjust the Air/fuel, among other things, and get the full power potential!
