I didn't have any codes, but I went ahead and had the tune anyway. It well worth it, because you really want the engine optimized to work with the headers. If you don't you will most likely be leaving quite a few ponies in the barn!

American racing headers, uncoated, w/ cats. P0420 and P0430 every day until tuned. I could turn them off with an Actron scanner but they came back.

With a proper tune you should have no codes being thrown.

Melrose LTs with high flow cats. Code showed up after about 2 months...I delete and it comes back within a few days. I plan on getting tune before the end of the year so i am holding out until then.

Quick Read on 02 sims.

And the DIY

Though I'd pay the $30 for the pre-made one

Ok sorry I had a mis read. I thought the sims were called cbrf4i which I thought was a typo or something because of the bike. Sorry about that.

Melrose headers sells a signal conditioner which supposedly will eliminate the O2 sensor code.

It appears some throw a CEL and others do not?

I had LG long tubes and Halltech and it threw a CEL intermittently. I dyno'd it (baseline for F/I install) and it was running fairly rich which was causing it to lose some HP.
Get a tune with LT headers to adjust the Air/fuel, among other things, and get the full power potential!
