Maintaining weatherproofing
I've heard you're supposed to use Di-electric grease. I got a can of it, but the directions say it's for protecting electrical contacts etc. with no mention of the use I speak of.
ANYONE?
Weatherstrips
Silicone grease on weatherstrips will make them last
longer, seal better, and not stick or squeak. Apply
silicone grease with a clean cloth. During very cold,
damp weather frequent application may be required. See
Recommended Fluids and Lubricants on page 6-11.

I've used a variety of stuff, never having broken down and actually gotten the grease. All have worked to preserve. 303 Protectant, something from Fuller-Brush, Meguiar's stuff, etc.
