I don't think so, thats a lot of hp for a stock vette, maybe they were referring to a C7 ZR1. I think the C7 will have 505 hp like the C6 Z06 and the C7 Z06 will go to around 600hp, but 700hp is a high number!

By 2011 or 12, you might be lucky to see 400 HP with the way crap is going on. By then who knows what emissions will be.So thats why you better hold on to those c-6 Z's as long as you can. Someday soon they might be worth a nice chunk of dough.

The C7 is on hold until the new mileage regulations are formalized.

Gotta disagree with you there Wayne. Statistically, the old-school ladder frame SUVs are deadly to their occupants in collisions. Those frames were never designed to absorb crash forces and distribute them around the passenger area. I once saw IIHS data on the forces to which human torsos and neck are subjected to in a ladder frame SUV crash, and it was something like 3x the peak acceleration imparted to the occupants in a large sedan, same crash. Then there is rollover, another real killer in SUVs. Of course, the old SUVs are deadly as well to smaller vehicles, which makes them a lose/lose proposition.
