those that have lowered their c6 does it ride rough or bounce as i have seen lowered cars do that i have lowered other cars thru different springs and they were fine
i've lowered mine by turning the bolts all the way w/ no bushings. i really don't feel any difference in ride, but rides a lil stiffer due to no bushing, and it dont bounce around like a lil ricer car.
Lowered mine 1.5" with my Pfadt Coil Overs. It is defiately stiffer, not much of a bounce at all. It sticks very firmly to the ground and still rides quite nicely over "rougher" terrain. I'll take some pics when I get back in town.

Nice ride Does your bottom wind deflector scrape? If so, did you trim it a little? I only have about an inch clearance...

Just a heads up to all cars. I recently broke my radiator support frame / skid plate. The metal skids are Not designed to handle the weight of the car. Air dam was 1/2 inch off the ground after it broke. Radiator was about 4 inches lower than it was supposed to be and was resting on the ABS unit. It was holding on by one mount of the 4. If that last mount broke the whole thing drops out the bottom.
I Bottomed it out on a sloped curb when backing out of a parking spot. I was only moving about 1-2 mph.
My car is Stock Height. I can imagine that when you are very low this may happen easier on smaller bumps.
There are several threads on this.
I am planing on doing a short write up to descrbe the removal and replacement of the radiator support or so called skid plate. Its Not that fun to replace. Unless you enjoy taking all the front plastic and front facia off.
I'm not saying Dont lower the car, but just be carefull of where those skids bottom out.

I posted under C6 General but am not getting a response. I lowered the rear on my 07 C6 by cutting the rear pads off the bolts. At the same time I replaced the H-pipe and put on Corsa sport exhaust. My problem is a loud and annoying squeak coming from the rear end.
Today when I got out of the car as it raised up I could here the squeak. I pushed down on the fender above the rear tire and it made this squeak going down and again when I released the preasure. This continued as I repeated the motion.
It seems like it is from the spring or suspension. Has anyone had this problem or know what the fix is?

Yep, had it resolved yesterday. Mine has been squeaking for a while now and I have just kept putting it off. Thursday, however, was the proverbial straw so I took it to a friend of mine who owns a muffler shop. He put it up on the lift and tracked it down. I wish I knew exactly how to tell you where it is but there is a bushing on each side [if you are standing underneath your car at the rear looking at the inside of the rim, it will be in your line of vision]. You will hear it if you move the car up and down gradually using the sway bar. Of course, you will need to have it on a drive up lift to be able to do this. Mine was worse on the right side. He took his air hose and blew the area out to make sure there was no sand or anything in there and then greased each side big time. It is as quiet as a mouse. I hope this makes sense. It's pretty obvious when you're underneath it.
rite on bro 4 my props. the front and rear are as low as it will go w/ no bushings. it scraps very lil on my driveway. very lil. i luv the ride though no complaints
i've lowered mine substantially for me at least ..(cut bushings).. no issues ride wise (same as before), except that it sits lower, i'm no expert but correct me if i'm wrong....
if you think about it, you actually don't change any of the suspension setup, same spring rate, same shock valving, you've only changed the height that the spring sits on the lower arm..
the only changes are from removing the bushing, which may cause a slightly rougher ride due to the bushing flex removal and your suspension geometry (camber) changes slightly from the car sitting lower / or the spindle sitting higher (however you'd like to look at it).. but realignment should correct this.
???also, i'm not sure but, i believe the sway bar will have more flex in it causing it to be a bit stiffer???
you also want to make sure you keep the rake of the car the same, or your high speed stability may be throw off
