need help with mp3/nav unit
i have an 07 z51, and i have been trying to get it to play mp3s for the past week and havnt figured it out, i am making the cds becuase they are showing up in dif media players so i no the cds are good when i put it in the nav unit it does nothing and when i click cd it says no cd loaded and when i put a reg. cd in it plays it fine, i dunno whats going on if someone can help me i would appreciate it!

thanksWhat software are you using? Are you finializing the disc after you're done?

haha, yeah i did one that finalized and one that didnt and neither worked, also another thing i have figured out is that when i have a reg cd in and switch from fm to cd it doesnt recognize it! so i have to take the cd out and insert it back in! i dont understand?!!? i no im burning the cds good becuase i have done it before for other vehicles i tried several softwares (sonic record now, itunes, cdburnerxp, media player)

thats what i am thinking too but im gonna wait a week or so cuase shes been at the dealer 3 times this past week replacing the rotors becuase they were "cracked" i only have around 8k miles on the car

I used Nero to burn mine and it worked real nice after I figured out the song title formatting(Doesn't like special characters in the dash unit). Here is a dumb question though: Are you putting the disk into the CD player or the DVD nav Disk slot? If you are doing it correctly, then take it to the dealer. Also, try your MP3 disk in one of the dealer's cars.

yeah i no i can get more songs i just did 40 cuase i wanted to see if itd work, but i played it in my buddys car and the cd worked fine! so i guess it is time the dealer takes a look at it and yeah i am putting it into the cd slot
