Default Contemplating Nos On 2005 Automatic

can i damage my engine badly if running NOS.. for street use.. no drag purposes.

and if something does go wrong and i put all the stock parts back in, will GM honor their warranty and fix? in other words, can they detect that i ran NOS?

Yes, do some reading http://ls1tech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10

With the proper octane and safety featurs a 100 shot can be run for a long time (baring a fuel pump or noid failure)

My freind ran his ls1 (ta) for 3 years on a 150 shot stock motor stock a4 with boltons and a cam it went 10.6 at 130 full weight its now his DD.

If done right your motor will be fine, your tranny is a different story!

As far as warranty and people will tell you

IMO if you value your C6....don't run nitrous on a street car. Sure some people do it without incident but I've seen enough people trash their cars with nitrous I'd run the other direction.

As for being-able to remove the NOS after you trash your motor and trying to deceive the dealership into making a warranty repair...if you’re OK with committing fraud and theft....by all means give it a shot (pun intended).

car dealerships dont commit fraud or theft, their the most honest people on the planet.(ha-ha) do all the safety precautions you can to prevent malfunction and you should be ok. but watch out, their are actually some chevy techs that can taste nos in the oil. why would you want to decieve the dealership, they would NEVER try to pull one over on you.
