3.90 gear question
I was thinking of getting a set of 3.90 gears for my 6 speed. what are the pros and cons. how would they effect the top speed of my car?how much would 3.90s improve my 1/4 mile time?any help would be appreciated.

do you have a Z-51?
I did 3.9's with a '05 6 speed manual Z-51. I have to say, and this is just me, a lot of people on the Forum LOVE gears -- I'm not having as much fun in 1 and 2. I'm just not in 1/2 for long. BUT 4, 5, 6, do feel perfect! I've done only bolt-ons so far, but looking back I may have kept my 3.42's and put the money toward the motor.
