Default shroud

I just installed a VARARAM the other night and with help from a guy who did his a while ago it was pretty easy sailing! My only regret is that the throttle body spacer I bought on here a couple of months back was cracked.Oh well.Again,no cutting gets you your stock system which is as good as any of the others if YOU DON'T WANT TO CUT THE SHROUD.

Default Lingenfelter CAI

I went with Lingenfelter because they offered a replacement shroud piece and I could retain my entire stock assembly. I put it all in a box and set it in the storage barn, taped shut. Car is very new (800 miles) so I have not really pushed hard on it yet. My dealer did the install free of charge, I paid for parts that he bought for me at a discount over what I could buy it for off the web. I am totally pleased with it.

I went with the LPE, mostly because I got it for less than 300 bucks shipped to my door. The fit and finish is great. I liked the Callaway also and I think the filter is easier to service, but I couldn't get as good a price on it. The vararam was a more distant third on my list because of all the quality issues that were being posted on the forum at the time. I hear that they have addressed some of those now.

This intake is being installed on my car next week (07 A6) along with LTs and a tune. I will be posting gains as soon as I can.
