Default Best CAI?

Really don't want to do any cutting of the shroud or anything else. Any suggestions? Noticeable gains? Thanks.

All the good ones require this. Callaway, LPE, Vararam.

I don't think the K&N requires any cutting, also Halltech is about to release their new intake next week....

Whichever makes you go the fastest So far, I have yet to see times that beat the Vararam. Maybe not the best quality but not bad. I gained .2 and 2 mph in the 1/8th over my Halltech.

The Callaway Honker is a terriffic CAI. Nice fit and finish (I think the best of them all - looks stock) and is loaded with accolades....

I agree, plus the filter is easy to get at to keep clean.

I have not measured performance on it yet, but it changed the car
significantly.

I have the LPE. Love it.
I would choose whichever you like between LPE and Callaway. The Callaway is easier to clean the filter.

I like my LPE and it has proved itself with Dyno numbers and performance. But I wish it was easier to clean.

Today I had the K&N CAI installed. There is no cutting involved and it looks great.Performancewise I have no figures.I also had the Borla Stinger cat back with x pipe put on and it sounds great. Also had a Hurst billet shifter with black Hurst "pistol grip" handle installed.

I also have the Aircharger installed and have pushed the shroud back and propped it open to get only outside air thru the grill to the huge swept area of the filter. 1 degree cooler = 1 hp, and this works great for zero cost over the K&N. It would work with the Blackwing or Halltech, as well. You can also return the shroud to stock in 15 seconds, no cutting, easy to do. A lot of people like the Vararam--I think this is better. Just my 2c.

You can't get Cold Air without cutting the shroud. If old ten thumbs here can do it so can you.
