Default New Dyno Today

I had my bone stock 05 MN6 with 5600 miles Dyno'd for the first time two weeks ago. I wasn't too surprised by the numbers: 339 RWHP / 336 RWTQ. I then installed a Ported TB and Intake from Cory Harris (which was really nice by the way), and a Callaway Honker. Jerry Onks in Smyrna,TN then installed Melrose headers with a catted X-pipe mated to my stock exhaust, The car dyno'd 370 RWHP and 365 TWTQ.
Jerry then computer tuned the car with an HP tuner. Results: 384 RWHP/370 RWTQ. I'm pretty happy

I just completed a LS2 Portworks ported LS2 intake and TB along with a set of American Racing Headers on a customers 2005 M6 C6. On a Mustang dyno the car made 373 rwhp after mods and tuning. This seems to be about the norm for a header and ported intake car. It may read a bit higher on the competitions Dyno-Jet down the road from me

Thanks Tom, the car really pulls. I gave it a little more gas on the way home but the Leo's were out in force so I couldn't have too much fun. I'll see you in the morning.

Nice gains! I may do the ported TB down the road. I really like the way the car responded with the header/intake/tune combo.

Nice gains! You have almost the same exact combo as me less the ported TB and I ported the intake myself. Our numbers are right on.

why did you go with the Melrose Headers? Most people chose something else.

Actually it seems that a lot of guys are putting Melroses on. I had narrowed it down to Melroses or LG long tubes. The Melroses come Jet-Hot coated with a lifetime guarantee against rust through. Plus they sound awesome even with the stock exhaust.
