the magnaflow catback system uses the same 14336...you are paying extra for the new piping...which is identical to the factory pipes. If you are getting headers system, there;s no need to get the catback system. The drone disappear at cruising, i have the A6.

I have a different experience. I have american Racing headers, factory pipes and tips and 14336 mufflers. I've got a ton of drone at 1600 which is 65 on the highway for me. It's almost as bad as my Borla Stingers.

You sure about that? I own both system, the mufflers are a different shape, size, and the outlet configuration is completely different. Out in the real world, the catback mufflers use a 11" can, the 14336 is 14". The piping is also different, with longer wrap around tailpipes that most other systems don't have. The extra tail pipe length incorporated into the Magnaflow catback is a big part of the drone reduction. People have been adding tailpipe length on other cars for years to modify the sound, but the C6 design doesn't leave much room for that, so it's not usually a factor. No way you're going to reproduce that with the 14336 either.

The 14336 is a nice affordable system if you want something louder and don't mind the drone, but the only thing it shares with the catback is the Magnaflow name.

I bought the complete Magnaflow system including X-pipe from an eBay vendor for $920.00. Took it to Meineke and they put it on for $125.
Pretty painless. No sore back and no scraped knuckles.
