I was told yesterday that I did not need the A6 corsa's # 14167 and all I needed was the # 14169 and would be happy that I did this because they sound better. If anybody here can help me on my selection before I buy that would be great.

The 14167 comes with resonators for the A6 in addition to the normal cat-back system that makes up the 14169. Apparently Corsa tested the cat-back alone on the A6 and because of the RPM range the A6 cruises at there was still some drone issues, hence the need for the additional resonators.
I know this because I ordered the system for my A6 and the resonators would not fit with my LG long tube headers. You can still run the Kooks headers with the resonators, though. Go to Corsa's website, they have pictures of what is included in the kits for the M6 and A6 cars.
2006 C6 coupe with manual tranny and then swapped them on to my 2007 C6 Coupe with the A6.
They were perfect with the A6, no drone.
IN fact, I just wish they were a little louder.
Now, I just traded my 2007 A6 for a 2006 Vert with the manual tranny and I swapped the Corsa Sports on to that.
Even with the top down, I just wish they were a bit louder, but they sound great.
I would be afraid to buy the automatic version, any quieter and I'd hate them.
On my 2006 coupe, I even added headers later on and they still were not loud at all and still did not drone.
I must admit, I love the sound of the Corsa Sports #14169, but have considered swapping them for GHLs or the new Corsa Extreme when they come out just for more volume.
But, I'm thrifty, so I will most likely stay with my 14169s, they sound very good, no drone, and if they were a bit louder would be perfect.

The cat back is the same, Corsa just includes the additional resonators that get installed ahead of the cat-back. If it were too quiet you could just take the resonators out. Conversely, you may be able to buy the resonators separately if the cat-back alone drones on your A6.
GMAN....I am heading over to Corsa today to drop off some parts I make for them...I will run this by Jim Jr. He can answer any questions and the reasons why they do certain things. His # 1-800-486-0999 Ext: 112

It would be great to hear from someone when the new Corsa Extreme comes out on how they like them.
