OK .... SO I GO OUT TO THE CAR THIS A.M. AND THE DOOR WON'T OPEN. HIT THE 'UNLOCK' BUTTION ON THE FOB, NOTHING HAPPENS. PUSH IT LIKE 50 TIMES, HOLD IT TO MY CHIN, STAND IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR, THE BACK OF THE CAR, OVER THE ROOF .... FINALLY THE LIGHTS FLASH AND I OPEN THE DOOR. I GET IN, CLOSE THE DOOR, PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, PUSH THE BUTTON ... IT CKLICKS A FEW TIMES AND NOW IT TELLS ME 'NO FOB DETECTED' ..... NOW I'M LOCKED IN THE CAR. I PULL THE 'EMERGENCY SHOOT' HANDLE AND THE ALARM STARTS BLAIRING (NOT GOOD IN THE GARAGE AT 6:30 A.M.) .... I RUN UPSTAIRS TO GET THE SECOND FOB. bY THE TIME i GET BACK DOWNSTAIRS TO THE GARAGE, THE ALARM QUITS. NOW I HAVE BOTH FOBS, AND NEITHER ONE WILL WORK. JUST CLICKS AND CONTINUES TO TELL ME 'NO FOB DETECTED'. HAVE TO DRIVE MY DAUGHTER'S COROLLA TO WORK (THAT BLOWS). CALL THE DEALER AND HE SAYS 'NEVER HAVE BOTH FOBS IN THE CAR AT THE SAME TIME', AND PLUG IT INTO THE GLOVE BOX AND SEE IF IT WILL START THAT WAY. ANY BODY HAD THIS PROBLEM SO I KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO WHEN I GET HOME ????????????

i can hear you, so stop yelling.
why wouldn't both fobs dye at or near the same time. didn't you get both of them at the same time? did they come off two different assembly lines. chances are the battery in the fob is same age or pretty close in both.
now that does suck, having to drive the corolla.
no fobs detected set the alarm ?

With both fobs on the blink, your problem is most likely radio interference, possibly from malfunctioning equipment nearby.
Switch off the circuit breaker for the garage door opener and see if your fobs start working reliably.
Lose the "CAPS LOCK" and try what the Dealer suggested. FOB in the glove compartment slot. Then find out what is interferring with the radio signal between the FOB and the reciever in the car. Do you have a cell phone or cell charger in the car? Door opener transmitter? Anything attached to your sound system? Alarm added to the car?
The Dealer is wrong about both FOB's in the car, it works.
I had the same problem. In my case the problem was the antenna and/or the receiver that are located under the dash. I know there are other antennas but it was decided the one under the dash was suspect. Both were replaced and the problem is gone. Since they decided to replace both, I do not know if both failed or just one. The tech felt is would be the receiver.
