Air Filter shroud on or off
I'm going to the track tonight and I was wondering if the stock air filter set-up is restricted when the plastic shroud is over the air filters. There does not appear to be a ton of room for air to pass with this cover. Does this cover do anything other than keep water out of the filter? Should I take it off for the track?

Thanks guys, just got back from the track. Left the cover on but propped open the shroud below. Used two small pieces of 2x2 with hole drilled through. Ty-wrapped the blocks into the original fastener holes and done. 10 minutes work. Car ran great, 2 pieces of wood are the only mod. 05 vert A4 3.15 F55 ran 12.72

The cold air thru the grill really does add power.
