Car has Kooks headers and hi flo cats and mid pipes, Honker, Tune, Low Thermostat and factory mufflers.
I know that a new set of cans does little at this juncture but I would like a little extra sound.
Cartek suggests either the Corsa Sport or the GHL system. The sound of the Sport is too loud and the GHL system is even louder. I have heard the SLP Powerflo system and I like the volume and tone of the sound but have been told that the system can be restrictive.
Does anyone know of a system that sounds nice, is well made, and is not too loud? Remember, it must flow better than stock and future mods may include head and cams...........
"Off-road Cat Back"? What is that? Is that the GM hi performance cat back system that retails for $1299.00 without exhaust tips? If so, do you have any flow numbers?

I'm surprised that, with Kooks headers, hi flo cats and mid (x?) pipe, the stock mufflers aren't sufficiently louder for you than the stock exhaust manifold, cats and H pipe, since you don't want to go to Corsa Sports that you think are "too loud" (IMHO, the Corsa Sports provide a tolerable increase in loudness over the stock catbacks with no other exhaust system elements changed out). In other words, given your aversion to Corsas and GHLs, one would think the modified system you currently have is at about the right sound level for you (remember, the stock catbacks are pretty efficient, so all you will be altering with aftermarket mufflers is the sound). Just a thought...
Check out the B&B Route 66 system. It's fairly quiet compared to the GHL's but has a nice deep tone. It's well made and has, in my opinion, the best looking tips out there.

They are straight flow. They make a touring and a off-road version for corvettes.
I belive Borla makes the same cat-back called the Stinger.
Any ways...I love the sound and love the 4" Tips with Vette logos....
Thats just me. Dont like the 3.5 tips....
I wish I had the link for the sound of them. Actually I think Fred Beans have a link with the GM Sounds.
I honestly think this is the best sounding cat-back for the corvette.
Plus I like that they have a embroided mold with the words "GM PERFORMANCE" on the mufflers... pricy but shop around.
Actually I bought them from Fred Beans.

The Magnaflow catback system is probably what you're looking for. I've been through the stock system with headers (too quiet for me), Corsa Sports, B&B, etc., but the Magnaflow is the one that I prefer. Not too loud or obnoxious while providing a nice deep tone.

If your concerned about your exhaust being loud, then stay clear from the GM off-road. I had them on my car for 2 weeks and could not take it, LOUD & DRONE. just my opinion.
