Can anyone confirm that the new TR-6060 trans will require a new aftermarket shifter or not ?

Not quite sure what you mean by "require". I had the opportunity to "use" a 2008 shifter and it sure felt good to me.

He's asking if new ones will have to be made considering it's no longer a T-56.. It's a valid question considering the TR-6060 is more or less an upgraded T-56 with the same shifter location for the vette. I'd give TTC a call and I bet you'll find your answer.

2JZFAN is correct. I would like to know if the shifters made for the '07 and earlier T56 for the C6 will work on the TR-6060 in the '08s.

I'm not going to say that the shifter would be the same or different, but the fact it's a new transmission probably has very little to do with it. The shifter is just a mechanism that connects a set of rods and pivots that finds it's way to the top of the transmission. The after market shifters don't even include the rods. They just change the pivot point on the shaft itself.

It would be like asking if a new front suspension will still work with the old steering wheel.

It's just that I'm not certain of how much about the new transmission is different. If the case is the same, then I'd feel 99% confident that the existing shifters work.
