Clilck on C6 General and look on the top for the FAQ sticky and click on it. Inside are several DIY discussions on removing the door panel. One in particular had to do with replacing a passenger side mirror and was well written.

Default explaination

on each side there are torx underneath little panels you pry off, once those are removed then there is a slot, gap almost all the way back on the bottom, start there with a cloth covered huge screwdriver, start to pry off from the bottom travel toward the front a ways then up the back side. then all the way around. reinstall is harder as you have to angle it and press in at the same time so that the top clips reposition themsleves. The LOUD poping is normal

Search for a better write up on the torx locations

I had my door off last night (Swapped the Bose for BA) and had a hard time getting the top clips lined up. On the second door I figured out that if you lower the window, they pretty much go right in.

Driver side torx are behind a small rectangular panel just below the door pull. You can pop it out easily with a right angle pick.

Pax side are on the door pull, one below the bull that has an open access at about a 45 degree angle. To access the other, take a right angle pick and pop off the door release button and you will see the torx above.

Removing the panel is as described. To re-install, use the metal hooks at the top first and get them in place. Take care to align all the push pins. If they are not aligned, they will break. Ask me how I know!

The passenger side has a screw behind the thumb button used for opening the door. Use your finger nail or equivelant to pull this out and you will see the screw behind it. The other screw is located under the door handle used to pull the door closed.

For the drivers side, there is a panel under the drivers side handle used to pull the door shut. Pop it out and you will find two screws behind it. At the bottom of each door panel if you feel around there is a recess in the bottom that allows you to start pulling the panel out of the door. Once started, give a sharp pull and all of the pins will release. The sound is obnoxious. Once the clips are all loose, go upward to get the panel off. There is a purple handled connector that you need to flip up. Once you have it up, the connector will come loose and you are free to move the panel outward

This is from a write up I did a while back on installing a bose system into a non bose car.
