Default Kooks Installed

I just installed the Kooks today and have to say that the quality was spot on, the items fitted together quite well and I am very pleased with the sound (with Corsa catback), the car now sounds tougher and the *** dyno feels some gain even without a tune.

I have to admit that the thread awhile ago in regards to quality issues had me concerned so I am tossing my .02 in for support.

The few sets of Kooks I've done (like Dynatech as well) have those silly cat to header connections. The ball and socket pressure clamp deal. They also seem to always be slightly off pushing to one side and tapping the underbody of the car.

Not to say they arent a great product just going from what I've personally installed on a few members cars. They just need a little more massaging to make them work perfect.

LG welds their cats to the headers which I find to be much easier on the install and requiring the least amount of work on adjusting.

Anywho - Glad you like them! Now throw a cam in and tune 'er up

Congrads!

Same here- installed Kooks w/ Corsa Sports last week and everything lined up fine. Did have to do a little "dance" to get the cats (6115CC) in line, but no big deal. The fact that Kooks and Corsa designed a system to fit was a smart move. Best part - no drone ! Next stop - COW tune.

Joe I have the same set up you do and love it, did you throw the P420 & P430 codes after install? I did a week after, but the tune took care of it and I gained 10 more ponies. I originally had the Borla Stingers, but couldn't deal with the drone, sound was awsome though.

Default Try a Vararam with the Kooks!

I'm at 396 hp and 396 tk with a M6 and stock mufflers.Since there is no way of blowing air in the intake on the Dyno at 100 MPH I think it's a little higher going down the highway. LOL

My tune was at Synergy so maybe a little higher numbers due to wheels off dyno.I put the Vararam on first and could tell the difference after a couple days of driving around. Dying for a Maggie but kind of afraid at the same time.
