There have been numerous threads on drilled rotors. I am watching the NASCAR race at Pocono and Larry MacReynolds just did a piece on the brake package...The Rotors were not drilled per se, but did have squiggly slots cut in the rotor that went all the way through.
Power Slots are available for the non-Z51; I've used those before and liked them. No Z51-sized rotors from them yet, though.
I've seen some slotted rotors that are drilled in the slots - no idea why, but I guess it seemed like a good idea to someone. There are more fashions in rotors than women's clothes - and more markup, it would seem.
I just ordered some DBA 4000 Series 6X6 WIPER-SLOT rotors for $650 delivered. I've seen these rotors in action and these are the real deal for the serious weekend warrior: http://www.dba.com.au/2006/PR_DOCS/P...0chevrolet.pdf
I called 1-800-974-8888, ask for Robert at x109. They are dealing off list. Robert says to mention the Corvette Forum and Los Angeles PI for a discount.
That is the only part I found a little leary, that and the Australian voice over on the video. Sounded like Outback steak house.
BUT, does look like a nice product.
Anyone using the DBA setup?
I learned of these after a few of my Z06 buddies started using them at Road America. RA is notoriously hard on brakes so much so that a buddies Z06 OEM rotors actually "SNAPPED" and a crack appeared across all three of the drilled holes on a rotor after 3 laps.
