I like the Vararam, but to tell you the truth, I hate their advertisements. How dumb do they think we are that an inlet could give you 40 hp? It's not physically possible, I don't care how much they talk about filling in the torque curve during shifts. I believe 15 rwhp max. That's it.
Callaway has been engineering highly reputable upgrades on Corvettes for a long time. If they felt the design of the Vararam was in the end superior, the Honker would be The Hoover!!!!
I personally went with the cai that has consistently been backed up by track number, the Vararam. Not only on the C6 but the C5 as well. Folks have had consistent gains and so did I in the 1/8th mile. Have run consistently up to .2 and 2 mph better in the 1/8th than I did with my Halltech. Quality wise, the VR is okay and like someone said above, the instructions are complete crap though it's not that hard to figure out how to install it.

I think the guys that order the vararam should strongly consider the race mesh grills in the empty space in the front bumper. At least that will further ensure that larger debris doesn't make it's way up to clog the filter.
I'll go with the Callaway Honker. Don't want to suck up no dead opossums while blastin' the curves in Tennessee.
Well my dealer tech installed the Honker in my C6 and said it went in like a charm. Remarked that it even looks like it came from the BG factory with it on.

How tough is the honker to install -- I've seen horrow stories, then others that said it was simple?
No worries on the water thing, haven't had enough rain in this part of the country to make the grass grow in the yard.
Don't know about the Honker install yet. Might get it professionally done.
