I did this fix & was impressed for about a week, came back after a 4 hour session in direct sunlight. Lub'g seals with silicone grease helps but it seems to take a combination of the two to keep noise at bay.

take the top off, and use a couple coats of vasoline that worked on my c5 vette my c6 has not had that problem yet. the top creeks b/c the body of the car flexes. but the vasoline will get the job done

BACK FROM GETTING IT FIXED AT THE DEALERSHIP, (REPLACED PLASTIC PIN INSERTS ). CAR IS QUIET NOW. WE WILL SEE HOW
LONG IT LASTS,. ONE NOTE, MINE HAD THE TAPE AROUND THE
INSERTS,? WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY ONE OF THE FIXES ?!

I hate taking this flocking car in to the dealer for flocking annoying issues like this.

This would make the third annoying noise repair...

1. Gear shifter
2. rear end
3. roof pins

I think I am going to get a custom license plate...RTLTRAP
