LS2 Valve Spring Color
I recently bought a set of heads for my LS1 conversion project. I was told the heads were off of an 04 Z06. The heads have 450 miles on them and are stock takeoffs from Mallet. I was wondering what color are the springs on the LS2 heads? The stripe painted on the springs on my heads almost look tan color.

The only difference between an LS2 and a LS6 head is the LS6 has lightweight hollow valves. So the only real way to verify it's an LS6 head is to weigh a valve and compare with a known LS2 valve.
The LS6 should have hollow intakes and Sodium filled exhaust valves.

could fade a bit but Yellow is what I saw on my 05.
that would be alot of fading for what was supposely only 450 miles.
