Default Flowmaster vs. the others. Performance?

Out of the axle back systems on the market, do you think the Flowmaster series for the C6 will perform as well as all the others? I'd rather not spend over $1k on mufflers, and the Flowmasters have the sound I am looking for, similar to the Magnaflows for 1/3 of the cost. Also, can I run the Flowmasters with a competitors x-over pipe?

as far as the x-over pipe, it depends on where th inlets are for the flowmaster I would think.

You can run the Flowmaster with the Corsa X pipe. I just installed the magnaflow complete system I thought the flowmaster was not as deep throaty as the magnaflow.

What kind of performance are you looking for? If you're looking for HP increase than you're out of luck. All the after market companies claim x amount of HP increase but the consensus is that any increase you get from ANY of them is negligible at best.
If you're looking for improved exhaust note, flowmasters will probably be the best bang for the buck. $350 vs. $1000+
I have heard them and they sounded good but I like my borla stingers better.
Money well spent IMO. They're my favorite mod...so far

NICE.... the Magnaflow complete system is exactly what i want, but don't have that much to spend right now, unless i can find it used. trying to get something that sounds close to the magnaflow for now.

If performance is your concern, then go with whichever exhaust you want, because none of them offer any real hp gains.

Get a pair of magnaflow 14336 mufflers (2.5" in/out) and have a shop weld em up. Muffler shop i went to just cut the inlet on the stock tips to fit on the 2.5" muffler outlet. Painted the mufflers flat black (high temp paint) so it looks stock but sounds fantastic and cost 340 bucks total. After driving with them a few hundred miles, the tone has mellowed a bit but i think it's just perfect. I just couldn't spend 1k on an exhaust system that yields 2 hp if that...rather put that money towards headers later down the road.

Super happy with the Flowmasters. 12 bolts and it installed right to my LG x pipe which is made by Borla. Sounds aggressive but no drone on the highway. Very happy I didn't spend more on another system!!
