I noticed that my cruise control wasn't working on my way to the A&A Corvette BBQ. I checked the 2 amp fuse and it was OK. Certainly can't take it to the dealer!! Anyone else have this problem?
Have never had a problem with my cruise control. You did look to make sure the switch wasn't in the OFF position (all the way up toward the end of the stalk), right?
Yes, I had the same problem at about 17,000 miles. It just quit working during a road trip. The dealer had to replace the BCM located under the passenger floorboard and no problems since (now at 20,000).
Thanks guys, I really liked the suggestions of checking to see that it was in the on position
You also didn't answer the question. I leave mine on all the time, so I wouldn't be used to it being off if it happened to mine. There are 4 possibilities:
1. Fuse blown.
2. Brake petal slightly depressed.
3. Switch turned off.
4. It's broke.

I think #4 is the most probable. I checked the fuse; drove the car with my foot lifting up under the brake pedal; the switch is in the on position; Have yet to try disconnecting the battery. the inner cooler reservior is over the battery, so I'll try running the codes tomorrow and see if that shows anything.
Happened to me about 3 times. I disconnected the battery for a minute and it started working again.
Sallen619 wins the technician of the year award. I disconnected the ground cable for a few minutes, then took the car for a drive and the cruise control now works. Thanks guys

Glad to hear it.
More & more devices are getting like Microsoft devices - reboot and everything's okay.

Glitches like this always deserve the "re-boot" trick (i.e., disconnect battery). I had a case with my 2005 where the headlights would come on when starting after sitting in bright sun light for a period of time......would turn them off manually and the DIC said "headlights suggested". I disconnected the battery and the problem went away/never came back.
