It will not be street legal here in the states, especially when you have racing slicks and spray.

$200,000 is a lot for that car. Plus, I would have thought it would be a right hand drive car.

That's not true - as long as you have at least two grooves in the tires they are street legal, been there, done that. Spray is not an issue either.

Two grooves in the tire dont equal a racing slick either.
And I've known plenty of people pulled over with hoosier drag radials with the two grooves.

5 mpg? Not so bad. Being the brilliant automotive engineer that I am, I once managed to modify a 1974 454 Corvette to 6 mpg (metering rods in carburetor, camshaft (I forget duration and overlap #s), exhaust, etc.; went fast but not far. Cruising range (highway) was not more than 150 miles

I took drag slicks and had two grooves put in them after being pulled over and told they had to have at least two grooves. Sure, I got pulled over again but they couldn't ticket me.

Nice story! That would be a blast on a drag strip but I'm still far happier with my C6. I'd give him a go.... after all, a chase is still a race.

That was my thought. 1 second would be an average of 2.73 g all the way to 60.
