Default Intake manifold suggestions

Is there a FAST intake manifold for the LS-2? If not, what do you recommend? How will a ported stock intake manifold compare to an aftermarket manifold?
How much of an increase could I expect from installing the following mods: Vararam, ported throttle body, ported intake manifold, Corsa Sports and a tune. I will not put on headers until I know for SURE they will pass emissions here in Colorado.

Thanks

Use the search feature, there are lots of dyno charts to look at. You also might want to checkout Cory Harris's ls2portworks website. FAST makes an intake and it will out perform a ported stock one. Good luck.

There's a rumor that LGM sells a FAST 90mm that's modified for the C6: modified so that you don't need to cut into the firewall.

Give Professional Products a call about their Typhoon aluminum intake. Installs without firewall modifications.

IMHO the FAST intake is the only way to go.

Ported Stock LS2 intake IS smog friendly And can make 10-13 rwhp more if you do long tubes and a CAI as well.

CHarris,

I thought I read or was told that you sell the FAST(ported) also. True?

A ported FAST is 20rwhp more in the midband RPM's than a ported LS2. Dont go by peakonly numbers. This has been beated to death in other threads. Serch for LG/FAST.

The people that dont like the FAST are the ones that didnt buy one.

If you're trying to squeeze every single possible hp out of your car, then you should get the FAST. But if you're looking for bang for the buck, a ported stock intake gets about half the gains, at less then a fourth of the price. With the money you save you would have enough to pay for a vararam and a mail order tune which would net more gains then the FAST.

I do offer FAST porting. I can also get one for you and port it, but your price for the intake alone from another vendor is as good as mine. It would seem like lots of people get these, but its not really the case. As such, I don't deal enough volume to get the good warehouse pricing. The FAST is the best gain overall but definitely not the best gain per dollar. I sell way more ported stock intakes due to the stealth factor and the low cost.

It's not a rumor. It cost more, but they do it. You can Email LGM or phone them, and they'll give you the cost, etc.

what about the fuel rails? I like the FRCs and what them. I read that you dont need a new fuel rail set up(adaptor) with the FAST by using an LS1 washer. Anyone?
If I can get one I would sand off the WILSON and FAST then shoot it Black

CHarris, what do you say about helping with the porting the removal of the lettering and shooting it black?

I read somewhere that some people had nice gains on stock LS2 Engines using the FAST 90. I have one on my Z06 & I swear by it
