C6 F1 Style Paddle Shift Module - Anyone Try This Mod?
There is an "F1 style" paddle shift module available at WCC that modifies the paddle shifters so that you upshift on the right side and downshift on the left. Here is the web link.

Has anyone installed this mod? If so, is it an improvement over the stock paddle shifters? I have no experience with the A6, as the vette I just sold was on 05 C6 with the A4. I ordered an 08 with the A6.

I spoke with WCC and they have not installed this paddle shift mod themselves. All of the units sold so far were shipped out. They say that comments back from customers who bought them were positive, but they had no specifics. The guy said he needed to spend more time checking this product out, maybe do a mod themselves.

I believe it is EastCoastSupercharging that builds the paddle shifter WCC is selling. Their setup is good for people that don't want to cut any wires, it's simple plug-and-play. My paddle mod requires a little more work - you have to switch (or modify) 2 wires. Also with my setup the right paddle will still both upshift and downshift, just backwards of the left paddle. Check the link in my sig for my mod.

I may try your mod first...as I've been cutting, splicing and soldering wires and circuit components since I was in my 20's (seems like yesterday, but not).
I'll have to wait until late August, as my C6 won't be built until the week of 8/6. If I do, I'll let you know how it goes.Thanks!

I did your wiring mod and found it pretty easy to do and quite happy with it!! Never liked using those stupid (to me) + thumb buttons for shifting. Thanks to you, its left paddle downshift and right paddle
upshift, just like Formula One!!
