Default Suggestions comments on major mods?

Ok bought the base model vette. Idea was to take the money I am saving by not buying a z06 and turn it into a beast. Here is the list of mods myself and performance shop have decided on. Let me know if anyone things I should do anything different, or if there is something better I am missing on.

One thing I am not confident about is the Moton 2 way adjustable suspension. What am I missing out on by not going with the 3 or 4 way adjustable? Should I spend the extra $5k and go with the 4 way adjustable?

Some of that seems a little excessive for a non-professional racer but what the Hell...why not.

There are IMO only a handful shops in the Country I'd turn loose with that list. If you're doing all that I'd consider using the C5R big block.

Keep us posted on your progress.

PM Short Throw over in the ZO6 section, he'll tell what you need to do to build a race car. Better yet do a search for his threads on his race car build and read until your hearts content.

Good luck with the build.

Forget all that stuff. Call Lou @ LGMotorsports. Tell him you want a 500 RHWP car. He'll do it for 1/2 the price of all the stuff you have listed.

If I had that kinda money I would build one to World Challenge specs and see if you can qualify for a race. How fun would it be to battle it out with Lou. (After he lapped you). I'd rather be a back marker in a real race than blowing the doors off everyone in HPDE. You could save a lot of money on the engine and it would still be so fast. Practice a lot and then hire a pit crew. There are two different setups you can run. One is closer to stock. Good luck. I think some of your stuff may be overkill just for a fun race car.

Not sure if you have any idea about motons but if you don't know what you're doing you'll probably do more harm than good. I'd go 2 way for sure.

I have the need for speed, I am not as worried about qualifying for different divisions as much as I am just wanting to take this car to its max potential.

I am shooting for atleast 600hp at the rear wheels, 500 isn't enough. I have a viper doing more then that now, and I don't want this car to be slower car.

FAST 90 Intake Manifold instead of a ported one, Maybe AFR 205 or 225 Heads, *Though LS7 Heads will work too A (T.R) or Comp. Cam & Maybe Water Wetter for those hot track days + 160* Thermostat.
Seems like you have a great list compiled there, that will cost alot but i'm sure it will be more than worth it in the end.
Best of luck ~CHRIS

That's some $ is no object mod list. I think you'll be better off buying the Z in the first place.

This thing will make the z look like a go-kart

And not be much higher priced.

Good call on the FAST 90, just called and discussed it with him. Said it was a good idea, so we are switching that up. Going with the AFR heads already, and the 160 degree thermostat..

Thanks for the suggestion

Well it looks like you got a hell of a car build going on. Can I take a crack at quoting something like this. Or are you pretty much set on a place? I even have a bare chassis so you could sell your car and use the cash for parts! Here is a example of our past work.
