Chevy spec is DOT3.
If you plan to upgrade to DOT4 in the brakes, suggest doing a full bleed of the brake hydraulics.
Best fluid comparo I've found so far . Company does not sell brake fluid, but compiled the comparo as a service to its customers.

DJ ,did you upgrade your brakes?
If so what is the DIY on the install?
I just picked up a set of C6 Z06 brakes and need to install them.

Motul RBF 600 makes for a nice upgrade from the stock fluid and is completely compatible with the stock GM fluid.
