We just took delivery of our 2008 Z51 C6 Corvette and went from the transporter to the dyno and made some pulls. This car made ~50rwhp more than the last bone stock 2007 that we did. The interior has some noticeably different changes that look awesome.
A set of the industry's finest Kooks 1 7/8" Headers w/ Cats are finding their way onto the car now. MTI Heads/Cam/Tuning are to follow shortly after.
Those are even higher numbers than LG posted for their test. Did this vehicle have the optional exhaust? Either the LS3 is underrated or the LS2 was overrated.

I hate to say it and I may get flamed but I think the LS2 was underated, I looked back at LS1 dynos on the F bodies and it seemed that they dynoed closer to the LS2 then the LS2 does to the LS3.
Either that or the LS2 was rated right and the LS1 & LS3 were underated.
geezzzzuuuusss......I'm speechless....well...not exactly...my luck would be to buy an 08 and get 250rwhp and 202rwtq, it'd have the ecotech heads from the factory and the roof would fly off...lol.
I assume this is a manual 6. Has anyone confirmed?

Oh it would HAVE TO BE a manual, no way an automatic could pull those numbers...if it were an automatic making a stock 395 at the wheels I'd be ordering mine tomorrow LOL.

Nah no flames, your suggestion does make sense but I still have to look at the track numbers that a few of us have generated to know that the LS2 could not have been all that over rated. Plugging the track times and raceweights (not just mere dyno numbers) into the calculators clearly shows that the LS2 was either spot on or maybe even slightly under rated as well.

That might be a viable possibility as well.
Regardless of all of that, I do believe that the LS3 is clearly under rated by at least a little, these dyno numbers are astounding.
