Default sexy newbie needs a virile mans advice

NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION. I've only been looking at this forum since I ordered my 08 vette. I've seen many things that concern me. Seems everyone is getting mods on right away and protective items. Some of these things I have never heard of. Maybe some of you will take some time and explain them to me. By the way boys the heading was for attention grabbing reasons....period. No one was helping with my quesions, so c'mon help me out here.
1. Zaino, why is it so much better than McQuires or other polishers or quick detailers?

2. Clear film over head lights. What is that? Where do you get it?

3. Clear front bra. Is that some type of plastic that forms to the front of the vehicle for protection. I have had bras on car before but they really messed up the paint after awhile, rubbing on fenders and flapping in the wind. Where do you get this.

4. Mods, like Cold Air Induction, after market exhaust, throttle body spacers, don't they void the warranty?

5. Shifting, I ordered a 6 speed. I keep hearing you can't go from 1st to second during in town driving, you have to go to fourth. The car won't let you shift in to 2nd? Doesn't 1st to 4th bogg.

6. If you did want to do some modifications on the car for power and sound, what would be the best way to start. Maybe mods 1-3. Best bang for the buck. Best place to start.

sorry if there are too many questions but you guys seem to know a lot about these cars and my town has no corvette club that I know of to talk about these things. I guess I want to know, what does a veteran vette owner get on his or her car first and why.
THanks
Garye

1. Zaino, why is it so much better than McQuires or other polishers or quick detailers?Zaino is the best I've ever used in 40+ years of car care

2. Clear film over head lights. What is that? 30-80mil thick to protect the $500 head lamp from rocks

3. Clear front bra. Is that some type of plastic that forms to the front of the vehicle for protection. I have had bras on car before but they really messed up the paint after awhile, rubbing on fenders and flapping in the wind.Made by 3M $600 or so. Protects from stones at speed

4. Mods, like Cold Air Induction, after market exhaust, throttle body spacers, don't they void the warranty?NO

5. Shifting, I ordered a 6 speed. I keep hearing you can't go from 1st to second during in town driving, you have to go to fourth. The car won't let you shift in to 2nd? Doesn't 1st to 4th bogg.It only keeps you from going to 2nd when: the engine is at temp, and you're between 15&25% throttle

6. If you did want to do some modifications on the car for power and sound, what would be the best way to start. Maybe mods 1-3. Best bang for the buck. Sound - go to midas & get a loud Flowmaster for 250 vice 1200 for BBs or Corsas
