Has anyone ever compiled a list of parts that could be changed or should be changed to from rubber to poly for better control? These are the only ones I can think of, but there has to be more. Just trying to see what I can do to control the flexing from rubber in the suspension and steering.
Upper / lower control arms
Front shock tower bushings
Rear lower shock mounting bushings
This may be old school but the first change when lowering a car was to get poly bushing lowered end links for the sway bar(s). Seems that nobody on the Forum has reported using the end links on a C6.
The theory on my previous cars was that the sway bar should be unloaded when the car was at rest so when you lowered the car you had to change the end link lengths. My car isn't lowered and I don't track the car so I haven't changed the end links. A couple of years ago Pep Boys had a selection of different length poly bushed end links at good prices.
I have poly sway bar bushings - the end links are hard mounted. I was thinking steering components, tie rods, and other suspension parts that use rubber and flex under load.
The rubber pads on the end of the spring adjusters - not sure if it would make any difference, but it might. Although there's no side force to speak of, there will be two different effective spring rates there with the rubber buggy baby bumper, and they're pretty thick. Of course the rates may be different enough that it doesn't matter.
P.S. Those sway bar bushings are pretty thick. What duro poly are you running there? I've been thinking about doing some hybrids - Delrin core with a thin poly vibration damper around the outside.
I still got the very first set of VBP full poly C6 kit they made sitting in the garage waiting for me to pull the trigger think Im going to wait till I get the Pfadts on so I only have to align everything once. dont forget to get a bumpsteer kit if you lower it more than an inch, Im also looking for anyone to make an RCA kit for us
