a few have been able to take a drive in one but none have tested 0-60 or 1/4 mile. I would venture the next issues (due out end of the week) may have some more extensive tests

"Vette" says 12.4 1/4 mile w/ M6 08 w/NPP, +.1 for A6 w/ Performance axle and NPP. They may have done the testing themselves, but didn't say either way.

I think they are just quoting factory claims. I think after a few get 500 mile + they will break those times,

The Corvette/GM specific mags might ring an '08 out to see if they can best the GM quoted times. However based on the Corvette's history in most general automotive publications they'll run it a few times, give it a 50/50 praise/criticism report, and then say "still not quite as good as Porsche"....

That will likely be the case unfortunately.

My Z51 was $10K less than a Boxter and the Porsche "purists" only beleive that 911's are real Porsches. So I am very happy with my "still not quite as good as Porsche", Chevy.

Sounds like the same times quoted by GM for the C5Z. Thats what I figure the LS3 will do when tested.
